Torrox Pueblo
Where to Visit
Local Shopping and El Ingenio Shopping Mall
In Torrox Peublo you will be able to buy fresh produce from individual shops the market.
There are 2 pharmacies. Pharmacists in Spain are more like doctors and can usually advise and treat minor complaints without a doctor's visit e.g. Antibiotics are available from the pharmacist.
Chino Bazar sells everything and I mean everything!
Shops opening times (generally): 10:00 - 14:00 then 17:00 to 20:30. You can buy fresh bread on a Sunday still from the shop in the square or the bakery.
There are cash machines in the village square and banks.

You can buy English newspapers and souvenirs from the shops along Torrox Costa Pasea

El Ingenio Shopping Mall
Location: Avda. Juan Carlos 1, 29740 Vélez-Málaga. Tel: 952 547267
The centre is situated right by exit 272 on the N340 between Vélez-Málaga and Torre del Mar.
Opening hours: Monday to Saturday 10am to 10pm

There are 69 shops and a vast 'SUPERMERCADO' called EROSKI off the E15, immediately at Junction 272 (25 minutes drive) for those wishing to buy with a greater choice. It IS vast and if you use a credit card you will need your passport with you as proof of identity. This is common and it may be with to carry a passport for such occasions. There is also a 'Dunns', and Intersport, cobblers, dry cleaners, soft furnishings, Mango, Zara, Pull and Bear etc... everything typical of a enormous shopping mall plus cafés and banks.

Dunnes Stores has a large branch here, it is a bit like an Irish Marks and Spencer with clothing for adults and kids alongside homeware and a small selection of "back home" style food products (they do great teabags!)
Fashion lovers are sure to recognise Zara and Mango which both have enormous branches here. Being on home soil in Spain they each offer fantastic value in comparison to British prices.
There are too many shops to describe each in detail but some of our favourites include Fosco (shoes), Casa (home) and Roberto Martin (sunglasses) along with Springfield (men's fashion).
Supermarkets
There are 3 supermarkets on Torrox Costa and a few in Nerja. You will get fresh milk from supermarkets. We prefer Eroski (Torrox or Velez Malaga) or Supersol in Nerja. New Lidl opened!
The supermarkets in Nerja do not open until 9.30am, although they do stay open late everyday They are also closed on Sundays.
